KATHMANDU: Chairman of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and Prime Minister KP Oli are holding talks on the latter’s recommendation of the dissolution of the House of Representatives.
The two leaders are holding one-on-one discussion on the issue ahead of the NCP Standing Committee meeting to be held at Baluwatar today.
Prachanda had rushed to Baluwatar soon after holding a “crucial” meeting with other party top leaders at Khumaltar.
Earlier, the meeting participated by Chairman “Prachanda”, senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal at Prachanda’s residence in Khumaltar had discussed Prime Minister KP Oli’s proposal to dissolve the parliament and its consequences.
Meanwhile, Standing Committee members of the ruling NCP are meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar to discuss the government’s recommendation to dissolve the House of Representatives (HoR).
“The party is likely to take action against Prime Minister KP Oli for his unconstitutional move of dissolving the parliament,” a Standing Committee member said.
NCP senior leaders are engaged in serious discussions to chart out their future move against the government’s decision of dissolving the House.
Prachanda has, meanwhile, blamed Prime Minister Oli that the latter has gone for coup-de-tat of the republic.
