Oli’s move a coup-de-tat on republic: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Executive Chairman of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has blamed Prime Minister KP Oli that the latter has gone for coup-de-tat of the republic.

According to Prachanda’s press secretary Bishnu Sapkota, Prachanda reached Oli’s residence at Baluwatar for discussion over Oli’s recommendation for the dissolution of the parliament, but returned instantly after Oli defied to meet him.

Sapkota quoted Prachanda as saying, “Oli’s move is a coup on republic itself.”

After recommending the President for the dissolution, PM Oli, who had reached to Shital Niwas to meet President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, has returned from there.

A meeting of the Cabinet held Sunday morning recommended for dissolution of the Parliament.
