Eight mountain flights in a single day

KATHMANDU: The air services have shared that the tourists are found attracted towards mountain flights soon after the resumption of mountain flights after a long gap.

The mountain flights were halted for about nine months due to Covid-19 pandemics.

The passengers are delighted to see the scenic views of the mountains including Mt Everest, the highest peak of the world.

According to sources, foreign and domestic tourists are found lured to the mountain flights also because the airlines companies came with discount offer in air fare lately.

A total of eight mountain flights were made on Saturday itself- five by Buddha Air and three by Yeti Airlines.

The flights are conducted at 7:00 am from Tribhuvan International Airport to various sites every Saturday.

The Yeti Airlines had made a single flight last Saturday due to various reasons.

A total of 300 passengers flew in the Buddha Air for Mt Everest sites. The Buddha Air shared that it was planning to increase mountain flights other days as well.

The Yeti Airlines is also planning to schedule the mountain flights twice a week. According to Yeti Air Spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula, the airlines will make two flights on Sunday. RSS
