Nepali Army wins praise in Libya



KATHMANDU: The United Nations and government agencies in Libya have lauded the role played by the Nepali Army in the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).

Considering the current global situation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the complex measures that must be adhered to following international travel, we wish to express our gratitude for the service carried out with United Nations Support Mission in Libya, reads a message of appreciation addressed to Lieutenant Colonel Prem Hamal.

Despite the challenges faced due to the increased security situation and COVID-19, we express our gratitude to the United Nations Guard Unit II for their many contributions related to the protection and safety of staff, medical services, and the harmonious relationship with the UN family in Libya, adds the message by the Head of the UNSMIL.
