Anti-govt activities mirage for some groups: Home Minister Thapa

CHITWAN: Minister for Home Affairs, Ram Bahadur Thapa today said carrying out activities against the system and the incumbent government are just a mirage for some groups.

Dreams of a force that is against the constitution and was born from ongoing COVID-19 crisis to upset the system and constitution would never be achieved, he said at a press conference organized here by the Press Organisation Nepal, Chitwan.

In another context, minister Thapa, also member of the ruling Nepal Communist Party Secretariat, said internal conflicts within the party were natural, adding, “Such differences within the party will further strengthen the government and party itself.”

He expressed the hope that ongoing party Standing Committee meeting would resolve problems within the party.
