Brazil’s COVID-19 cases surpass 6.8 million



BRASILIA: Brazil registered 52,770 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally to 6,836,313, the Ministry of Health said.

Currently, 701,115 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals while 5,954,745 have returned home after treatment.

Meanwhile, 652 more fatalities from the virus were also reported on Friday, taking the death toll to 180,453, according to Worldometers.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in last Dcember, COVID-19 pandemic has killed 1,600,314 and infects 71,410,347 people until the filing of this news.
