Kathmandu Valley sees 541 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 541 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 402 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 34 in Bhaktapur, and 105 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, 1,044 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 246,694 with fresh cases as of Friday afternoon.

A total of 1,271 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 232,872 in the country.

Nepal currently has 12,148 active cases.

Likewise, 519 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

Meanwhile, as many as 11 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,674, the Ministry confirmed.
