COVID-19: Kathmandu Valley records 404 fresh cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 404 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 328 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 25 in Bhaktapur, and 51 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, A total of 1,217 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 245,650 with fresh cases as of Thursday afternoon.

A total of 1,064 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 231,601 in the country.

Nepal currently has 12,386 active cases.

Likewise, 515 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

Meanwhile, as many as 12 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,663, the Ministry confirmed.

Meanwhile, 366 COVID-19 patients in Nepal are undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and ventilator support.

A total of 309 patients are in ICU and 57 on ventilator support.

According to the Ministry of Health, 36 persons are undergoing treatment in ICU in Province 1, seven in Province 2, 122 in Bagmati Province, 77 in Gandaki Province, 53 in Lumbini Province, seven in Karnali Province, and seven in Sudurpaschim Province.

A total of six in Province 1, two in Province 2, 36 in Bagmati, eight in Gandaki Province, three in Lumbini, and two in Sudurpaschim Province are on ventilator support.

Similarly, out of 12,386 active COVID-19 cases, 7,721 people are in home isolation.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,063 people in Province 1 are in home isolation, 136 in Province 2, 4,378 in Bagmati, 261 in Gandaki, 1,052 in Lumbini, 76 in Karnali, and 755 in Sudurpaschim Province.
