KATHMANDU: Newly unified Bibeksheel Sajha Party has said it will hold its general convention in the next six months.
Bibeksheel Nepali Dal and Sajha Party announced merger to form Bibeksheel Sajha Party amidst a virtula program on Wednesday.
Talking to Khabarhub following the unification, Chairman of Bibeksheel Sajha Party Rabindra Mishra said the party will hold its general convention in the next six months as per the agreement.
“Our major agenda will be good-governance and zero-tolerance on corruption. The party will hold its general convention in the next six months,” Mishra said.
The new party will have a 26-member secretariat committee and 130-member central committee following the unification.
The logo and election symbol will be a traditional weighing scale (taraju) as before after the unification.
Rabindra Mishra of Sajha Party is the chairman while Pandey of Bibeksheel will take charge as the coordinator in the new party.
Earlier, Sajha Party and Bibeksheel Dal had split on January 11, 2019, around 16 months after their first unification.
