Five hospitals come under provincial radar

KATHMANDU: The government is set to bring five hospitals operational under local government domain to the ambit of province government.

Government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung said the hospitals have been brought under the province government domain accepting the decision of Bagmati province government to this effect.

According to the communications minister, the hospitals brought under the provincial domain are Charikot Hospital Dolakha, Methinkot Hospital Kavre, Bajrabarahi Chapagaun Hospital Lalitpur, Bakular Ratnanagar Hospital Chitwan and Tokha Chandeswori Primary Health Centre Kathmandu.

Likewise, the meeting has decided to promote joint secretary Dr Prem Narayan Kandel to the special class under the agriculture and forest service (cluster).
