Kathmandu Valley witnesses 507 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 507 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 393 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 39 in Bhaktapur, and 75 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,056 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 2,44,433 with fresh cases as of Wednesday afternoon.

A total of 1,483 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 2,30,537 in the country.

Nepal currently has 12,245 active cases.

Likewise, 525 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

Meanwhile, as many as 14 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,651, the Ministry confirmed.
