Kathmandu Valley sees 422 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 422 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 344 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 31 in Bhaktapur, and 67 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,014 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 241,995 with fresh cases as of Monday afternoon.

A total of 1,628 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 227,433 in the country.

Nepal currently has 12,948 active cases.

Likewise, 527 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 20 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,614, the Ministry confirmed.
