Home Ministry intensifies monitoring of subordinate agencies



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has intensified the monitoring of its subordinate agencies. Speaking in the first quarterly review meeting of the current fiscal year at the Ministry on Friday, Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa shared that the Ministry was strongly monitoring the progress in the respective bodies.

The monitoring of the subordinate bodies showed that there was no effective result as per expectation, and it was due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry formed seven monitoring committees under the joint secretaries to look after each province in the country.

On the occasion, Minister Thapa directed the bodies under the Ministry to work towards achieving the progress. He said that peace and security were imperative to achieve development and prosperity in the country.

Minister Thapa also directed for preparations of effective plans and programs in line with the budget.
