Regressive forces unlikely to rise: NCP Spokesperson Shrestha

KATHMANDU: Spokesperson of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Narayankaji Shrestha has said that the regressive forces are not likely to succeed again as the democratic-republican system in the country was established by a popular movement.

Emerging from the ruling NCP’s secretariat meeting today, Shrestha said that the gaps in the implementation of the republican system could be reviewed but the demand for revival of the monarchy is regressive.

At a time when some groups were raising voices for the revival of monarchy, Shrestha viewed that such acts are not relevant.
