Province 1 sees 226 fresh cases of coronavirus

BIRATNAGAR: Province 1 witnessed 226 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry for Social Development of Province 1, out of 1,053 swabs tested in past the 24 hours, 226 people came out with a coronavirus positive report on Monday.

The Ministry informed that there have been 76 new cases of coronavirus in Morang, 48 in Sunsari, 45 in Jhapa, 21 in Taplejung, nine in Udayapur, five each in Ilam and Dhankuta, and one each in Sankhuwasabha, Tehrathum, Bhojpur, and Panchthar in last 24 hours.

Similarly, 13 people who got their swab tested in Province 1 also tested coronavirus positive at the same time.

With this, the number of coronavirus cases in the Province has reached 27,262 now.

Likewise, the province got 102 people discharged after recovery on Monday making the discharge case tally 22,285 now.

Four people including a female and three male died while undergoing treatment against coronavirus pandemic on Monday.
