PM Oli makes debut in TikTok



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has made a debut in TikTok, a video-sharing app popular among youths.

His account was created on Sunday has also been verified.

Press Adviser to PM Oli, Surya Thapa, said that although discussions were held with the technology experts about opening an account, there was no information about the opening.

“There was talk of opening an account in TikTok,” he said, “But I didn’t know the details. The technical adviser should know.”

Only one video has been uploaded to the account so far.

“The process of linking services directly connected to the citizens such as land revenue, electricity tariff, customs duty, internal revenue, driver’s license, and renewal has started,” PM Oli says in the video, “The government has moved to make the national identity card the main basis of service delivery.”
