Govt decides to add one AIG, five DIGs in Nepal Police



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to add one Additional Inspector General (AIG) and five Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) of Nepal Police.

The Home Ministry had decided to increase the posts of one AIG and five DIGs. An earlier Cabinet meeting endorsed the decision to increase the number of posts.

With the addition of posts, the number of AIGs has reached four and the number of DIGs has reached 19.

Meanwhile, the government is preparing to promote DIG Bishworaj Pokharel to AIG.
