Kathmandu Valley witnesses 835 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 835 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 642 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 88 in Bhaktapur and 105 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, 1,946 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 has reached 208,299 with fresh cases as of Saturday afternoon.

A total of 2,503 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 170,632 in the country.

Nepal currently has 36,452 active cases.

Likewise, 1,057 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 13 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,215, the Ministry confirmed.
