India’s COVID-19 cases cross 8.5 million mark

KATHMANDU: India recorded 46,661 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 8,553,864.

Currently, 511,551 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 7,915,660 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 126,600-mark.

With 491 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 126,653, according to the latest figures collated by Worldometers.
