Indian Army Chief’s visit has ended deadlock between Nepal, India: Security Expert



KATHMANDU: Indian Army Chief Manoj Mukunda Narvane’s recent Nepal visit has been interpreted as a milestone in intensifying Nepal India relationship.

According to security expert Umesh Bhattarai, Narvane’s visit has ended the icing relationship between the two countries.

“The icing relationship between the two countries has got revitalized by General Narvane’s visit,” Bhattarai said, adding, “Although the two countries have been trying to resume the trust and mutual understanding, the visit has paved room for intensifying the relationship.”

He added that the visit has generated positive environment to resuming talks and ending the deadlock.

He believed that the visit has established that there are many areas from where the staked relationship can be eased and taken to normalcy.
