Punya Gautam held over his statement to greet Naravane with black flag



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested social activist Punya Gautam after he publicly stated that he would greet the Indian Army Chief Naravane with a black flag.

Gautam through his YouTube video channel said he would greet Naravane with a black flag.

Police arrested him from Bouddha area, said SSP Shyam Lal Gyawali of Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu.

Chief of Army Staff of India Manoj Mukund Naravane is arriving in Nepal on Wednesday.

Security has been tightened in the capital city Kathmandu amidst the Nepal visit of Naravane’s who had given a controversial statement on Nepal-India border dispute.
