NA Chief confers insignia on Lieutenant General Hamal

KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa has conferred the rank insignia on Ishwar Hamal who was promoted to Lieutenant General.

A recent meeting of the Council of Ministers had decided to promote Hamal.

Hamal was conferred with the insignia during a special function organized at Nepal Army (NA) Headquarters on Monday. He is currently deployed under the UN peacekeeping mission in Syria.

Hamal is the Force Commander under UNDOF.
