Octogenarian dies due to COVID-19 infection in Sindhuli



SINDHULI: An octogenarian has died due to coronavirus infection in Sindhuli district.

An 84-year-old woman of Kamalamai municipality-6, Panityanki succumbed to the virus on Sunday night.

The elderly had been admitted to Dhulikhel Hospital on Friday after she complained of respiratory complications and high fever.

Her swab test result came out positive half an hour before the patient breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the hospital, said Bimal Shrestha, the manager of the Hospital.

Shrestha said the hospital administration is coordinating with the Nepal Army for the management of the deceased’s body.
