Kathmandu Valley sees 1,622 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 1,622 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,362 persons in Kathmandu, 164 in Lalitpur, 96 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for coronavirus.

Meanwhile, as many as 2,824 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 has reached 173,567 with fresh cases as of Sunday afternoon.

A total of 3,620 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 134,842 in the country.

As many as 23 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 960, the Ministry confirmed.
