KATHMANDU: Former Minister and NC Lawmaker Min Bishwokarma who tested coronavirus positive two weeks before has been shifted to Grande Hospital’s ventilator as his health has further deteriorated.
Former Minister and the incumbent Chairman of Nepal Dalit Sangh Bishwokarma had tested coronavirus positive on October 17 and had been in home isolation for eight days.
First rushed to Bir Hospital on October 25, he was shifted to Grande Hospital after not finding the due improvement in his health.
Dr. Chakra Raj Pandey, the Director of Grande Hospital said that the hospital has used all the due measures yet he has been shifted to the ventilator on Saturday afternoon after his health turned further critical.
“His health condition was not much normal for the last few days and we feared it could go to a ventilator,” Dr. Pandey explained, “ He was given oxygen earlier as well and we have used prospective all measures including the use of Remdesivir. His condition was stable before, we could not maintain oxygen level in him and now he is in the ventilator.”
However, Dr. Pandey expressed his optimism regarding his improvement and said that ventilator is major support for lungs and many have returned safely from there as well.
He added that as he is not too old he has high chances of a speedy recovery.
