Four including a minor injured as locals clash with police in Bara



KATHMANDU: Four people including three security personnel sustained injuries in a clash between police officials and locals in Bara district.

Ranjan Yadav, 14, a local, sustained bullet injuries in the police firing. He is undergoing treatment at Bayodha Hospital in Birgunj.

Three police officials including Sub Inspector Birendra Giri who sustained injuries in the clash are receiving treatment at Kalaiya.

Similarly, a minor boy sustained injuries after District Police Chief SP Krishna Pangeni fired a shot in self-defense.

Locals had brought onions from India last night on motorbikes. Local traders had been transporting onions through the backdoor after India put a ban on the transportation of onions to Nepal.
