BIRATNAGAR: Province 1 recorded 556 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.
As many as 242 cases have been confirmed in Morang, 199 in Sunsari, 77 in Jhapa, six in Udayapur, five in Dhankuta, four in Sankhuwasabha, three in Khotang and Tehrathum and 17 outside the province, according to the Ministry of Social Development.
With the new cases, the coronavirus tally in Province 1 has reached 18,250.
Meanwhile, 695 got discharged after recovery, taking the total recoveries to 10,138.
