Biplav pressed to talk peace with govt.

KATHMANDU: General Secretary of Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ is under an immense pressure to hold talks with the government.

Influential leaders within the party have been pressing him to sit for the talks, Annapurna Post Daily reported.

Politburo member and Eastern region In-charge Anil Sharma and Politburo member Padam Rai among others have been pressing the party supremo to talk peace with the government.

Chand is no mood to sit for the talks immediately. However, he is in direct and indirect contacts with some top-notch leaders of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal.

Scores of leaders and cadres of the party have been arrested after the government banned the of the party.
