Brazil’s COVID-19 cases surpass 5.4-million mark

KATHMANDU: The number of COVID-19 cases has crossed 5.4 million in Brazil until Tuesday.

With 29,353 new cases, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 5,440,903, according to Worldometer.

Similarly, 530 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 157,981.

Currently, 378,876 people have been undergoing treatment at various hospitals and isolation centers. Meanwhile, 4,904,046 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in last December, the coronavirus pandemic has killed 1,171,253 and infected 44,233,526 people across the world.
