RAW Chief Goel in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Samant Goel, Chief of Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), India’s foreign intelligence agency, has arrived Nepal.

High security sources have confirmed that Goel has come to Kathmandu.

The reason for his visit is still not clear, sources said.

However, his visit comes on the eve of the visit of Indian Army Chief Manoj Mukund Naravane to Nepal scheduled in the first week of November.

The Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Nepal have not commented on Goel’s visit.

Sources said Goel’s team consists of seven people. The team is scheduled to return to Delhi on Thursday.
