All bank branches to remain closed from October 23 to October 27

KATHMANDU: All branches of the banks will be closed for five days starting October 23.

In previous years, banks used to open their counters for a few hours during Dashain holidays.

The Nepal Bankers’ Association on Tuesday issued a notice stating that all bank branches will be closed for five days during the Dashain festival.

The Association has stated that digital banking services and ATM services will, however, remain open even if the bank’s branches are closed.

The Association has also urged customers to use digital banking to reduce the risk of corona spread among the employees of commercial banks as the rate of corona infection is increasing day by day.

Over 3,700 bank employees are infected with COVID-19 so far.
