MaHa duo to be honored with Basundharashree prize



KATHMANDU: The Basundhara-Man Academy is to present this year’s ‘Basundharashree prize’ to artist Madan Krishna Shrestha. Shrestha is being honored for his contribution to Nepali art, theater and humor-satire sector. The prize carries a purse of Rs. 50,000.

Likewise, artist Haribansha Acharya is to be honored with the ‘Manshree prize’ carrying a purse of Rs. 50,000 and a letter of appreciation. Acharya is being presented with the prize for his contribution to Nepali literature through creations and acting of theater, films and telefilms.

The decision to this end was taken by a meeting of the Academy held on Friday under the chair of its Chancellor Dr Dubashu Chettri.
