KATHMANDU: Simrik Air has started providing exclusive air ambulance service for COVID-19 positive patients.

Nepal Government and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) provided permission to Simrik Air to carry Coronavirus infected patients adhering to the health and safety guidelines following the protocols of the Ministry of Health and Population and WHO

Simrik has thus dedicated its two helicopters exclusively to carry COVID-19 positive patients among five helicopters in its fleet, Simrik Air said in a statement.

The first infected patient airlifted by Simrik Air Helicopter on Monday was from Butwal to Kathmandu HAMS Hospital in a Patient Isolation Unit – Biological (Negative Pressure) Isolation Chamber, dedicated for carrying patients infected by COVID-19.

Simrik has been delivering impeccable service by transferring patients requiring immediate treatment to the requested sectors/hospitals even during the lockdown period.

It is indeed a matter of concern that the coronavirus pandemic is spreading rapidly in most parts of Nepal.

In this grave situation, CAAN providing permission to Simrik Air to airlift COVID-19 positive patients from all over Nepal is certainly a relief for the patients requiring emergency attention and treatment.

In this testing period, Simrik Air Helicopter is committed to saving lives, delivering you with the safest and most efficient service wherever and whenever it added.
