APF constable dies of COVID-19 in Pokhara



KATHMANDU: An Armed Police Force (APF) official has died from coronavirus in Pokhara on Friday morning.

A 25-year-old APF constable succumbed to the virus in the course of treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara.

According to Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, the spokesperson for the COVID-19 Control and Prevention Program of Gandaki Pradesh, the police constable breathed his last at 11:30 pm yesterday.

Originally from Dhorpatan municipality-7, Baglung, the patient had been admitted to the hospital on October 11 and his swab test report came out positive two days later.

With this, the number of deaths from COVID-19 has reached  48  in Gandaki Pradesh.
