CHITWAN: Two more people including a septuagenarian have died from coronavirus in Chitwan district.

A 35-year-old woman has died from coronavirus died from coronavirus at Chitwan Medical College.

Originally from Tilottama municipality-15, Rupandehi died of the virus in the course of treatment, said Dr Daya Ram Lamsal, the director of the hospital.

She had been admitted to the hospital on October 7 after her swab report came out to be positive during a PCR test at the laboratory of Lumbini Provincial Hospital on the other day (October 6).

The patient, who was being treated on ventilator at the ICU of the hospital, succumbed to the virus on Monday evening.

Similarly, a 78-year-old man has died from the coronavirus in the course of treatment at Chitwan Medical College (CMC) in Chitwan district.

The septuagenarian of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10 succumbed to the virus at 8:10 pm on Monday while undergoing treatment at the hospital, Dr Lamsal.

The elderly was admitted to CMC on October 10 after testing positive for coronavirus the other day.

He was being treated on ventilator at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital after being diagnosed with the virus.

With this, the number of deaths from coronavirus has reached 37 in Chitwan.
