All govt hospitals in Valley to be converted into COVID hospitals

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to turn all government hospitals in the Kathmandu Valley into COVID hospitals.

The Ministry of Health and Population has said that all government hospitals will be converted into COVID hospitals.

“All types of government hospitals will be developed as COVID Hospitals and the existing ICU ventilators with the Department of Drug Administration will be managed for intensive care in the Valley,” said Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said.

With the high rate of infection in the Kathmandu Valley, there is a shortage of isolation beds.
