KATHMANDU: Rajasthan Royals has defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets in an IPL cricket match held in Dubai on Sunday night.
Chasing a 159-run target set by Hyderabad, Rajasthan reached it in 19.5 overs losing five wickets. Rahul Tewatia top-scored with 45 runs and remained unbeaten, R Parag made 42 runs while SV Samson contributed 26 runs to secure win for the team.
In reply, Hyderabad’s Rashadi Khan and Khaleel Ahmed took two wickets each.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, Hyderabad made 158 runs losing four wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Hyderabad’s Manish Pandey top-scored with 54 runs studded with two fours and three sixes off 44 balls, skipper David Warner made 48 runs and KS Williamson contributed 22 runs.
With this win, Rajasthan is in the sixth position with six points from seven games.
Similarly, Hyderabad is in the fifth position with six points from seven games.
