47-year-old man dies of COVID-19 in Chitwan

CHITWAN: Another coronavirus-infected man died while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital on Saturday evening.

The deceased has been identified as a 47-year-old man of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1.

The man was admitted to the hospital on Friday due to fever, cough, and respiratory problems. He died at 6:30 pm today, said Liladhar Poudel, Information Officer at the hospital.

According to the hospital, the man was diagnosed with the infection yesterday.

Nepal had recorded 14 new coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 614 as of Saturday afternoon.

The country had recorded 5,008 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours in the highest single-day spike.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, with the recent data, the total number of cases had reached 105,684 in the country as of Saturday afternoon.
