Sandeep Lamichhane makes into ‘draft’ of LPL cricket tournament



KATHMANDU: Nepali leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is included in the draft of the Lanka Premier League Cricket Tournament.

Players of Sandeep’s rank and included under draft would draw remuneration of a minimum of 50 thousand to 60 thousand USD.

Sandeep is currently in United Arab Emirates (UAE) in connection with playing the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Similarly, another Nepali player, Suman Gautam, is also included in the draft of LPL. He is currently in Australia.

Players of Gautam’s rank and included in the draft would get a remuneration of minimum 15 thousand to maximum
25 thousand USD.

Whether Sandeep and Suman would be decided from the auction taking place today, Technology Analyst of the Nepali National Team, Raman Shivakoti, said.

The LPL will start on November 21. Sri Lanka Cricket Board is organizing the LPL for the first time. Twenty-eight foreign players will get a place in the League.
