2 killed, 2 injured in Udayapur road mishap



KATHMANDU: Two people have died on the spot in a road accident at Katari-Beteni road section along the Siddhicharan Highway.

The deceased have been identified as Min Bahadur Rana Magar of Katari municipality-8, Sirise and Rakesh Yadav of Golbazaar municipality, Siraha, said DSP Hemanta Bhandari Chhetri of Area Police Office, Katari.

The incident took place when the container van was heading towards Katari of Udayapur from Okhaldhunga on Wednesday night. Two others have sustained critical injuries in the incident.

The injured are driver Yogendra Dahal from Damak municipality, Jhapa and Bijaya Bhujel from Barahachhetra municipality, Sunsari.

They have been sent to Nobel Teaching Hospital, Biratngar for treatment.

Police said they are investigating the case.
