Judicial Council transfers 114 judges



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Judicial Council (JC) held on Wednesday transferred 114 district judges and assigned post for 29 judges.

The JC transferred Judge Jagat Narayan Shrestha of Bhaktapur District Court to Tanahu and Radha Krishna Upreti of Sunsari District Court to Gulmi.

Similarly, Judge Mahendra Bahadur Karki of Lalitpur District Court has been transferred to Sindhupalchowk.

The council has transferred Judge Bishnu Prasad Subedi to Kapilvastu.

Kathmandu District Court Judge Arjun Prasad Koirala has been transferred to Sunsari District Court. Similarly, Kapilvastu District Court Judge Lok Jung Shah has been sent to Darchula.

The JC has appointed 29 new judges.
