RPP unification gets formal recognition from Election Commission

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has granted formal recognition to the unification of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).

The RPP and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Samyukta) had inked an agreement for the unification on March 11, 2020 and had applied to Election Commission for formal validation.

RPP Chairman Kamal Thapa has expressed happiness after getting recognition from the EC and remarked that it was a great pleasure to see the party that had split in 2016 united again.

After the unification, the RPP will have cow in its party flag and use plough as the party’s election symbol.

Chairman Thapa has made a commitment to make RPP a leading mainstream political party in the next election.
