KATHMANDU: The Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection Management (DoCSM) and police have raided a house in Chandol where outdated goods were being labeled with new dates.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team from DoCSM and police raided the house and seized goods kept ready for labeling with new dates.

Police recovered a large number of chocolates, biscuits, oil, tuna fish, tissue papers, among others stored in a godown, said SSP Somendra Singh Rathore, the spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu.

Earlier, a five-story house in Kalanki had been raided where illegal activities of pasting outdated products with new labels were taking place.
