SAPTARI: Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepal Upendra Yadav has said the achievements obtained from the people’s struggles would be institutionalized only after the constitution was amended.

Addressing the party’s leading cadres at Bode Barsayin in Saptari on Friday, Yadav called for an immediate amendment to the constitution’s shortcomings.

Arguing that Nepali Congress and communist forces failed to deliver in the country, Yadav viewed his party was united for the development of an alternate force by bringing suppressed forces together. He shared that his party was in the process of adjustment after the unification.

Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative Shailendra Prasad Saha, National Assembly member Shekhar Singh, state assembly member Manish Kumar Suman and other leaders of the party were present at the gathering.

Earlier, Yadav visited the family of former parliamentarian late Hari Prasad Raya at Tarahi in Dakneshwori Municipality in the district and expressed condolence on the demise of Raya. Raya died on Sunday during his treatment.
