120 more tests COVID-19 positive in Sudurpaschim



KAILALI: Another 120 people were confirmed infected with the coronavirus in Sudurpaschim Province on Friday.

The cases were confirmed in tests conducted in three laboratories of the province. Of them, 91 are from Kailali.

According to Dilip Kumar Shrestha, Information Officer of Seti Provincial Hospital, the infection has been confirmed in 36 people of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis, 32 of Godavari Municipality, 13 of Gauriganga Municipality, five of Janaki Rural Municipality, four of Ghodaghodi Municipality and one person of Bardagoria Rural Municipality.

Similarly, two persons from Bhim Dutta Municipality of Kanchanpur, one each from Belauri, Punarbas and Jhalari have been confirmed infected, said Shrestha.

According to him, the infection has been confirmed in one person of Byas in Darchula.

Meanwhile, the coronavirus has been confirmed in 17 more people of Darchula and Baitadi.

In the last 24 hours, 44 samples were tested in the laboratory of District Hospital Baitadi and 17 people have been confirmed infected in both the districts.

The infection has been confirmed in 14 people including 11 men and three women of Mahakali Municipality of Darchula.

Similarly, the infection has been confirmed in one person each of Lekam Rural Municipality, Patan Municipality of Baitadi and Sigas Rural Municipality.

Meanwhile, tests conducted at the laboratory of District Hospital Doti have confirmed the infection in six more people.

According to Saurabh Shrestha, laboratory In-charge of the hospital, two people each from Sayal and Adarsh Rural Municipalities of Doti and one each from Chaurpati and Kamalbazar of Achham have been confirmed infected.

The number of coronavirus cases in the province has reached 7,690.
