Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll hits 481 with four new fatalities

KATHMANDU: A total of four people, including one in Kathmandu Valley, died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the death toll from the pandemic to 481 as of Monday afternoon.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the deceased are two males and two females.

A 47-year-old man in Banke and a 34-year-old man in Gulmi succumbed to the pandemic. Likewise, a 38-year-old woman in Sunsari and a 51-year-old woman in Bhaktapur died of the coronavirus.

Earlier on Sunday, Nepal had recorded 10 deaths from the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the country on Monday recorded a total of 1,351 new cases of coronavirus infection while 742 infected ones got complete recovery from the virus, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
