1 killed, 7 injured after landslide buries passenger bus



NAWALPARASI: A person died and seven others sustained injures after a landslide buried a passenge bus at Daunne along the East-west Highway in Nawalparasi East on Thursday night.

Seven people sustained injuries in the incident.

According to District Police Office, Nawalparasi, the deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Harischandra KC of Aathbiskoth rural municipality, Rukum West.

The incident took place after a landslide buried a passenger bus, Na 5 Kha 7940, near Bishwokarma Temple in Binaya Tribeni rural municipality last night.

Critically injured KC breathed his last in the course of treatment at Chitwan Medical College, Chitwan.

Four among those injured are undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur while the other three are receiving treatment at the District Health Office, Nawalpur, said DSP Mohan Bahadur Khand.
