COVID-19 tally in Province 1 crosses 6,000-mark



BIRATNAGAR: Province 1 recorded 114 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, there are 86 new cases in Morang, 21 in Sunsari, five in Jhapa, one in Udayapur and one outside the province.

The ministry added that 71 infected people have been diagnosed positive in Biratnagar on Thursday. Among those confirmed infected are 36 women and 35 men.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, two women and four men in Budhiganga of Morang, two women and two men in Sundaraharaicha, two men in Katahari, one woman in Pathari Shanishchare and one man in Sunbarshi and Dhanpalathan have tested positive.

A total of four women and one man in Sunsari’s Dharan, one woman and six men in Duhabi, one man in Itahari, two men in Birtamode of Jhapa, one man each in Jhapa Rural Municipality, Bhadrapur and Kankai and one man from Udayapur and one man from outside the province have reported positive.

The number of coronavirus cases in Province 1 has reached 6,064 with fresh cases.
