6 buried to death, 4 missing in Syangja landslide



SYANGJA: Five people have died after a landslide buried their house at Tamodi in Waling municipality of Syangja district at the wee hours of Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as house owner Maya Nepali, Deepak Nepali, Seni Nepali, Jeevan Nepali and Uma Nepali. Uma had come to Maya’s house as a guest, said District Police Office, Syangja.

Four people have gone missing in the landslide, informed DSP Rajendra Adhikari, the spokesperson for DPO, Syangja.

Maya’s daughter Manisha has been rescued alive and rushed to Waling Hospital for treatment.

Similarly, 16-year-old Bishnu Damai has been buried to death by a landslide at Gautam Danda of Kaligandaki rural municipality-4, Syangja.
