NC appeals to government for meaningful talks with Dr KC



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) party has appealed to the government to hold meaningful talks with Dr Govinda KC considering his weakening health condition.

Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, NC Spokesperson Bishwaprakash Sharma reminded that if the government had implemented the past progress made to solve the problems facing medical education sector, such problem would not recur.

Sharma has also said that during the leadership of Nepali Congress, medical education was expanded; a high level task force was formed under the coordination of Prof Kedar Bhakta Mathema to solve problems in medical education sector, and the National Medical Education Ordinance, 2074 brought by addressing Prof Dr KC’s demands.

“If these issues were followed well, the medical education sector could see good progress,” he underscored, appealing to the federal government to take the right track regarding Dr KC’s agitation.
